Photographer/director Craig Cutler and advertising creative director Scott Bremner have been friends and creative collaborators for years. This week, they’re debuting their newest and perhaps most ambitious project yet, Cutler + Bremner, at cutlerbremner.com.
For Cutler + Bremner’s first project, Craig and Scott created six unique ways to capture water in motion. The short films were shot with the new Phantom Flex4K and produced in conjunction with Steve Romano, who was the DP; assistant director Steve Meierding; editor Bernice Gonzalez; and Sami Jano, who did the sound.We’re looking forward to following the progress of Cutler + Bremner, which provides a vital creative outlet for Scott and Craig. “This is a chance for us to explore ideas that are not client-driven,” says Scott. Hollywood & Vines: The first short film made entirely of Vines
The story of how this short was made is almost as interesting as the film itself -

Trina Turk "Playa"
I came across this video the other day that was made by Trina Turk, and I thought "this is EXACTLY the kind of fashion video that they should be making and posting on the Trina Turk website."
It's from a couple of seasons ago, but I think it really catches the right vibe that Trina Turk is trying to create with her clothing, and what her branding strategy should be for everything they do.
Check it out larger on YouTube here.

Absolut: Doing things differently
This spot was so darned pretty.
The video features artists who make words out of different objects: lanterns at night that fly up in the air, sculpted grass, and my favorite - bottles suspended from trees. Whoever dreams up this stuff has the coolest job in the world.

Video: HEALTH "We Are Water"
I found this somewhat disturbing video at HUH magazine 's wonderful site. I love how different and oddly haunting this music video is - but I don't recommend it for the faint of heart. {link}

Mind-blowing. Absolutely amazing.

When you click on this link, DO NOT read anything about this film - JUST PRESS PLAY - hit the full screen button on the right, and watch the short film in it's entirety.
IF YOU DON'T - IT WILL RUIN THE SURPRISE. NO CHEATING!!!
When you are done, you'll have the chance to read more about the making of this piece both below the link above, and also at this link here.
I recommend that you turn off the scaling when you go full screen so as to get the most beautiful effect. This little film blew my mind. We live in amazing world.
Have you watched the film, and still don't understand what's so special about it? Then click here, and I'll tell you. {click}

Chanel No.5 - “Train de nuit”
WOW.
If you haven't seen Chanel Number Five's amazing viral film being shared on the web, check it out here - beautiful! It stars Audrey Tautou and Travis Davenport, directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet (Amélie, City of Lost Children, Delicatessen).

This "mini film" is only 2 minutes, 20 seconds, but it feels much longer. Don't forget to check out the behind the scenes film, as well - it really made me appreciate this piece even more.

Labuat :: Interactive Music Video
This website was recommended to me by Jared Hamaguchi - who, if you know him - is a fabulous resource for the amazing and wonderful.This website is different from any other I have been to before since it seems to allow you to draw with your mouse in time to music, creating an interactive music video. You will hear the song »Soy tu aire« from spanish singer Labuat. The website received the FWA (Favorite Website Award) »website of the month« and was animated by Jossie Malis.

Dform :: Anders Schroder :: Motion Graphics
If you've never heard of DFORM or Anders Schroder - stop, put down what you are doing right now, and check out his amazing show reel and website.

AndersSchroder.com

I'm not going to embed the video of his show reel into this page since it degrades the graphics to the point where they are not done justice. In order to see the reel - and his other work - in it's full, gorgeous glory, I recommend stopping by his website and clicking on the first item, which is his reel. Very Inspiring.

Video: Honda Insight 60-second "Let It Shine" spot
Jared Hamaguchi found this commercial.
Pretty much, if ever I see a cool clip - it’s from Jared at Saatchi.
The thing that makes this spot amazing is that it’s captured entirely in camera. No CGI - it’s just cars and film. Watch the “making of” video after this one that shows how they did this shoot to fully appreciate this piece. Click here to go to YouTube.
60” TV spot ‘Let It Shine’ for Honda Insight, created by W+K Amsterdam - the first since their appointment in November 2008. ‘Let It Shine’ was created by Zach Watkins, Craig Melchiano and Mark Sloan and creatively directed by Jeff Kling, John Norman and Sue Anderson and is meant to reinforce Honda’s position as a leader in automotive hybrid technology.
