Nicholas Cope: The Fine Art of Photography

Few photographers are as inspiring or original as  Nicholas Cope.  Whether he is playing with 3-d modeling, or photographing the way that liquids dissolve into one another at close range, his work is sure to excite.

Amy Guip: Photography or collage?

Amy Guip is a commercial artist who always manages to retain a unique voice. Her imagery combines photography with design and collage in a way that manages to remain fresh no matter how many years I watch her work.

Karl Blossfelt: the sculpture of nature

Karl Blossfeldt (1865-1932) was a German instructor of sculpture who used his remarkable photographs of plant studies to educate his students about design elements in nature. Self-taught in photography, he devoted himself to the study of nature, photographing nothing but flowers, buds and seed capsules for thirty-five years.

Blossfeldt’s photographs were made with a homemade camera that could magnify the subject up to thirty times its actual size. By doing so he revealed extraordinary details within the natural structure of the plants. In the process he created some of the most innovative photographic work of his time. The simple yet expressive forms captured on film affirmed his boundless artistic and intellectual ability.

Jeff Hutchens: photography tips

Jeff Hutchens is a
National Geographic photographer who worked with Anthony when they were both in Mongolia. I really enjoyed this interview Kodak put together called "Tips from the Pros" where Jeff gives some great photography advice to help even novices make better, more interesting images.

Here is a link to the article {link}

And a link to his personal website, too {link}

I came across this photography website, and thought the work was really interesting. I would love to tell you more about the artist, but all the information on the website appears to be Japanese :-)
