Sometimes there is only one thing to say about an artist, and that is to go and take a look at their work yourself.  Their startling imagery has left me sometimes wondering how they did it, while at the same time just enjoying what they've created. Link to site below.

Good Dog. Meet Gerald.

This week marks the beginning a a new art show - over the weekend, people in London will be able to visit an exhibit featuring Gerald, a "pet" project of industrial design firm Lazarian.  What started out as a quest to design an origami dog, has blossomed into a collaboration involving over a hundred different artists, and wonderful variety of limited-edition prints of their trusty companion.

Kai and Sunny: The Devil is in the Details

While you may have missed the opening party for the Kai & Sunny Show in Los Angeles, you still can stop by and see it at Subliminal Projects through October 5th. The delightful detail and patience involved in creating these large scale prints is a wonder - and wonderful - to behold.

I love the dreamy pseudo-scientific world of graphic design, illustrations and patterns created by Chad Hagan.  His nonsensical infographics leave me uncaring what data that might - but don't - contain ... it's enough that they are beautiful.

Leigh Viner: A Breath of Fresh Air

 

Leigh Viner is a breath of fresh air for fashion illustration - she presents an enticing fantasy-world of beauty, but still allows "imperfections" like loose line work or pain splashes give life to her drawings.  Keep your eyes on her - I predict you'll be seeing a lot more of her wonderful talents in the future.
